April 8, 2011. If the country's public financial institutions, included in the scope of the Public Accounting System (RCP), do not take up the guidelines given by the General Accounting Office (CGN) in regard to the timely submission of its financial, economic, social and environmental information, should respond to the General's Attorney Office and the Republic’s General Comptroller. ACCOUNTING CHANGES SIIF II MODEL NATION
March 18, 2011. Informs to all the Public Accountant Entities - ECP that are part of the Financial Integrated Information System- SIIF II Nation, from January 1, 2011, that the accounting model adopted by the General Accounting Office - CGN was defined and established according to the Public Accounting System, which allows to record the account of budget and treasury execution such as automatic and manual records are required to adjust the accounting information. Progress and prospects of public accounting in Colombia - 15 years of CGN
February 25, 2011. During the days 25, 26 and 27 July the General Accounting Office (CGN) will realize the Seventh National Congress of Public Accounting, whose central theme will focus on major advances in public accounting in Colombia and the celebration of the 15 years of the entity. THE WORLD BANK (WB) PROVIDES TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO THE CGN
Technical assistance mission accompanying the CGN in the project of harmonization of accounting standards of the Colombian Public Sector with international accounting standards.
February 25, 2011. Between 22 and 25 February from this year the World Bank conducted a second field mission, under the strategic project that is being conducted by the General Accounting Office, designed to harmonize the Public Accounting System with international accounting standards. Entities within the scope of the Public Accounting System have until February 15, 2011 to report to the General Accounting Office (CGN) the financial, economic, social and environmental information for court date of December 31, 2010. This report should be done through the Public Finance and Financial Reporting System (CHIP).
February 10, 2011. Governors, mayors, administrators and managers of public agencies must meet this duty promptly and submit to the CGN reliable, revealing and comprehensive information, in order to allow the user to know the real financial situation of public entities and reports in the way they are managing state resources.
